About the Author Denis Puska

Denis returns to his hometown of Kapuskasing where his broadcast career began at this very station at the age of 14. It started with broadcasting hockey games and covering sports in the community. In more than 35 years as a broadcast journalist, he has covered some of the major news and sports events in Kapuskasing during the 1990s. Throughout his broadcast career, Denis has spent 19 years in the United States working in minor league hockey with stops in Huntsville Alabama, Pensacola Florida, Flint Michigan, Cleveland Ohio, and Amarillo Texas. In 2018, Denis set a mark by calling his 700th hockey game in Texas after spending a total of 9 years in Amarillo. Now he's home and looking forward to becoming a big part of Kapuskasing again.
