Youth Charged in Kapuskasing

The James Bay Detachments of the OPP in Kapuskasing have charged a youth for failing to stop for police. Last week police tried to pull over a vehicle, however they didn’t stop. The OPP was able to locate the blue minivan involved in the incident in Val Rita. The driver along with two passengers were found in a wooded area North of where the minivan had been left.

The 16-year-old driver from Toronto is now facing a number of charges ranging from dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crimes, flight while pursued by a peace officer and for having a G1 license with no experienced driver in the vehicle. The accused has been scheduled to appear in court in Kapuskasing at the start of January and the other two passengers were not charged.
