The Cochrane Minor Hockey Association is having a name the canteen contest. Minor hockey board member Amanda Spalding says the contest is open for anyone between the age of 4 and 18 to try and come up with an original name and logo for the arena canteen.

She says the minor hockey association recently took over responsibility of the canteen from the figure skating club and wanted a name other than “The Canteen”. Spalding says whoever picks the new name will win a prize too.

A 32-inch flat screen TV is up for grabs along with your name and logo featured on the canteen. Spalding says the deadline to get the new name in by is December 31st and they’ll be announcing a winner at the end of January.
