College Boreal is trying to attract more students from Southern Ontario to some of its Northern campuses. College Boreal and l’Universite de Hearst in Timmins will be having an open house information session this weekend to highlight some of the French programs offered at both of the schools. College President Daniel Giroux says admission for many colleges is down due to lack of students graduating from high school. The information session will also give students and parents the opportunity to meet some of the teachers, tour the school and even a chance to win a $1,500 scholarship. Everything gets underway at the Timmins campus tomorrow at 10:00am.
