Canadian Tire Donates Almost $40,000 in Sporting Equipment to Indigenous Communities

The owner of Canadian Tire in Cochrane Marc Sturch spent several days in Moosonee and Moose Factory along with members of the Cochrane Crunch, hosting hockey clinics and helping underprivileged kids get involved in sports.  Sturch said him and his wife see it as part of their mission in life to give back.

In all, nearly $40,000 in equipment was donated to the James Bay coastal communities, and another $20,000 will soon be given to a local school in Cochrane.

The equipment was supplied with the help of CCM and the Jumpstart program.
