Over the past four years the Town of Kapuskasing has donated over $10,000 to support the less fortunate in our community during the holiday season.
For the first two weeks in December, all of the money that’s collected from the parking meters around town has gone towards the Kinsmen Santa Claus Fund. The Rotary Club has since taken over responsibility from the Kinsmen Club and have asked that the town continue this holiday tradition.
At the council meeting earlier this week the town supported this request and CAO Yves Labelle says it’s because they see the importance of helping out those in need around the holiday season.
