The OPP says a professional can steal your car in just 30 seconds, without the key. The James Bay Detachments of the OPP are reminding residents to keep their property secured at all times. Over the past couple of months police have received reports of thefts of and from motor vehicles and want to remind everyone to lock it or risk losing it.
Officers throughout the region say it’s important to never leave keys inside your vehicle and to keep valuables out of sight. Police also say to lock doors and make sure windows are closed while leaving your vehicle.
