It was the best year ever for the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign in the Northeast. Representatives say in Cochrane, Iroquois Falls and Timmins over $27,000 was raised for the Drug Abuse and Resistance Education program. Each year for one week in September, every dollar that’s spent on one of these cookies goes towards local charities. The numbers were up in Kapuskasing and Hearst this year too as almost $10,000 was raised.
