Kapuskasing Curling Club Hosting a Fun Day

The Kapuskasing Curling Club is teaming up with both radio stations in town to host a curling fun day.

No prior curling experience would be needed and it would be free to attend. President and Fundraiser for the club, Greg Campbell says the point of the event is to try and get people out to the facility and hopefully drive up membership. Campbell says in previous years the club had been struggling with getting people out, but he adds this year is looking more positive thanks to all of the local sponsors.

Campbell says they will try to fill each of the sheets of ice with a different, unique game. He says for example on one sheet they would have something covering the ice so you have no idea where you’re throwing the rock and prizes would be given to the winners.

The event would be free to attend, the bar will be open and lunch will served for extra. Campbell says there will also be prizes and a 50/50 draw to look forward to.

The event will be taking place November 26th, but you would have to register before hand. Campbell says he would like to see 80 people come out because then they would have a full day worth of activities.

You can sign up or register for the free curling fun day by calling either Moose FM, CKGN or the curling club directly.
