Almost five years after the alleged incident took place, the OPP is charging a 27-year-old man from Matheson with sexual assault. Police were made aware of the assault back in August and were able to make the arrest on Wednesday.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Timmins at the end of the month and his name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
