A new study shows that property taxes in Northern Ontario are the fastest growing in the province.
That’s according to the Fraser Institute, who says five of the top ten communities are from the North.
The study looked at the growth rate of municipal property taxes over a 10-year period and Timmins came out on top with a growth rate of 5.7 per cent. Sudbury wasn’t far behind, going up by 5.2 per cent.
The growth rates for Kapuskasing were not released.
