New Traffic and Marine Commander for OPP in Northeast

The Northeast region of the OPP has named a new Traffic and Marine Unit Commander. Inspector Scott Hlady brings knowledge and skill to the position as a result of his 19-year career with the OPP.

He’s served as a general patrol officer, as a part of the forensic team and was Staff Sargent and Regional Manager of Forensic Identification for the North East Region before the recent promotion.

Hlady says he has extensive experience in specialized policing services and is certified as a blood stain pattern analyst. He says he’s excited to work with the community and policing partners throughout the region to ensure a high level of traffic and marine safety.

Hlady says he’s dedicated his service to Northern Ontario and is honored to provide leadership in the Traffic and Marine program.
