The Town of Kapuskasing will be looking at options to replace one of its councillors next week.
Councillor Laurier Guillemette gave his resignation prior to the council meeting September 19th.
Mayor Alan Spacek says at the next council meeting they will have to decide how they go about filling the vacant position.
Spacek says they have three options available. He says they can either choose someone from the previous election based on their polling numbers, appoint someone from the community or have a whole new election.
The Mayor says they will look at these options at the council meeting on Tuesday next week.
