The Town of Kapuskasing is planning on extending Progress Crescent over by the hospital to build housing for the elderly.
CAO for the town, Yves Labelle says they’ve formed a housing project committee and over the next couple of weeks they will decide whether or not the project will be non-profit or if they are going with a partnership.
Labelle says they have changed their approach for the next grant approvals to help accommodate the street extension. He says they will need to include a water and sewage system with the road.
Labelle says the Sensenbrenner Hospital is in the process of transferring the property over to the town.
