The MNR Says Safety Should be the Number One Priority While Hunting

With another hunting season upon us the Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding the public to be safe while out in the bush.

Conservation Officer with the MNR in Kapuskasing, Dan Dufour says while it’s important to have fun and enjoy the resources, safety should be the number one priority. Dufour says hunters should always have their license on them and a map or GPS in case they get lost.

The MNR is reminding hunters to never carry a loaded firearm in your vehicle and to always be aware of your target and what’s beyond it.
