The MPP for Nipissing is asking residents in the north to sign his online petition to bring down the cost of hydro. Vic Fedeli says he’s received more than 1,500 petitions since he started the drive four weeks ago. However legislative rules require original signatures on petitions meaning online signatures are not accepted. Fedeli says it means people have to do a little work.
People have to download the petition, sign and mail it to him. The address is on the petition. Fedeli will keep the petition going indefinitely and he’ll keep reading names in the Legislature as they come in. He adds if people want to include information on how high energy costs have hurt them, he’ll also read their comments to MPPs. The petition is available at www.fedeli.com
