NORTHERN ONTARIO PARTY SET TO MAKE ITS FIRST NORTHERN TOUR WITH ITS NEW LEADER

The new leader of the Northern Ontario political party is getting ready for his first tour across the north. Trevor Holliday is going to make stops in Timmins, Hearst, and Smooth Rock Falls amongst others. He says part of the party’s campaign is to give a voice to Northerners, saying the party is real people not just politicians who are bred for it.

Although a big part of what sparked the party to officially register with Elections Ontario was an online petition to separate northern Ontario from the south, Holliday says their biggest goal is getting northern representation in the Legislature. He says in an ideal world, all 11 northern ridings will have a candidate elected in 2018.

Holliday will be in Timmins on September 14th, and a time and location are expected to be set in the coming days.
