Emergency response teams were called to the scene of a fatal crash in Kirkland Lake.
Police say a motorcycle had left from a stop sign and was crossing the road when the collision took place. Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle, 27-year-old Amanda Van Kempen, was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The drivers of the other vehicles did not sustain any injuries.
Police were called to the scene just before 6:00pm last night. The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
