Over the past 26 years, a Kapuskasing resident has been raising money for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Since the start of August this year, Stella Arezza has collected more than $2,700.
Arezza has been raising money since back in the early 1990’s. Each year she has been able to collect around $2,000, bringing the grand total raised over all these years close to $50,000.
Arezza says that it took her about two weeks to go to every house and local business in Kapuskasing.
The Terry Fox Run is held all around the world and is known as the world’s largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research. To date, the Terry Fox Foundation has raised over $700 million for cancer research.
