The Shred the Rainbow 5 km run in Hearst is taking place this weekend.

There’s no cost to participate and after you register they will supply you with a free t-shirt and glasses to wear during the run.

General Manager for the Hearst Economic Development Corporation Sylvie Fontaine says they decided to bring the event to Hearst last year because there isn’t anything else like it in Northern Ontario.

Fontaine also says they had a lot of people come from out of town to participate in the event last year and they’re hoping for another big turnout.

Although the event is free, they will be taking donations to KidSport.

You can register for the colour run here.
