The 18th annual Hempfest is fast approaching. The event is a pro-marijuana festival and anyone is welcome to attend. If you’re under the age of 18 you do need to come with a parent or guardian.
There will be live entertainment all week with artists coming from all across the country to Moonbeam. Day passes for the festival are $20 each or you can get in all week for $40.
Organizer and head of Hempfest, Robert Neron says that in 18 years of hosting the festival they have never had any problems.
Neron says although this is a pro-marijuana festival you don’t have to smoke to come out and enjoy.
The festival runs August 22nd to the 28th and camping is available for the whole week. It is a not-for-profit event with all the money going back into the entertainment provided.
Neron says they will not be selling marijuana at the festival.
