There are new items on display at the Ron Morel Memorial Museum. Sergeant Allan Poolton’s Canadian army dress uniform has been added to the Kap-Worn Uniforms display. Sergeant Poolton was from Kapuskasing and was a mechanic overseas during World War II.
Curator for the museum Julie Latimer says if you came to the museum several years ago, you’re missing out on some of the new things they have added.
There are hundreds of photographs and objects on display that all touch on various bits of history in Kapuskasing.
There is no cost to go and see what’s on display at the museum.
The museum will be open every day of the week, including weekends from 8:30am to 4:30pm until September 9th.
Latimer says you should give yourself at least 45 minutes to be able to check everything out.
