Soles 4 Souls is a not-for-profit organization that believes that everyone around the world deserves a good pair of shoes.
Since 2006 Soles 4 Souls has collected and donated 26-million pairs of shoes to those in need. The organization came to Kapuskasing earlier this summer and they have received tremendous community support. So far close to 2,000 pairs of shoes have been collected in our community.
Soles 4 Souls Volunteer Jessika Karroll says that once they pick up 25,000 pairs they will have the opportunity to go deliver them to the country they feel is most in need. Karroll is surprised by how supportive the community has been with the organization.
Some of the drop-off locations around town include Eastview Chevrolet, OK Tire, Moose FM, CKJN the Investors Group and the Health Centre.
In the past the organization has done BBQ’s and shoe drives to help raise awareness. They will be doing another event with the Health Centre at the end of the month.
