PREMIER KATHLEEN WYNNE TOURING NORTHERN ONTARIO THIS WEEK

Premier Kathleen Wynne is continuing her tour of northern Ontario today. She is making stops in North Bay, New Liskeard, and Kirkland Lake, however Timmins is not on the agenda. The leader of the Ontario PC Party, Patrick Brown, says it’s about time that the Premier is visiting Northern Ontario.

Brown says the last time the Ministry of Economic Development invested any money in the north was in 2008. He says this lack of funding proves that the Liberals consider Northern Ontario an after-thought.

Wynne was in Sudbury yesterday, where she announced $2.3 million for film and television productions. That money is coming from the NOHFC and will support five productions. That includes the comedy series Letterkenny.
