Ontario’s Regional Chief Thoughts on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

Ontario’s Regional Chief, Isadore Day, is welcoming news that the federal government will hold an inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women. However, Day also agrees with some First Nation people that the inquiry will fall short. The terms of reference won’t examine how police investigated cases of missing or murdered Aboriginal women. Day says the inquiry has to look into how police agencies responded to these cases if there’s to be justice.
