Over 250 electric charging stations are coming to Ontario according to the Mministry of Transportation, with some in the Northeast. Twenty-five locations are opening in Northeastern Ontario including in Timmins, Kapuskasing and Kirkland Lake. The Timmins location is a level three station located at the McDonald’s on Algonquin. Kapuskasing’s locations include its McDonald’s and Tim Horton’s locations both designated level three. It’s all part of Ontario’s Green Investment Fund which aims to build around 500 EV charging stations across the province from a total investment of almost $20 million.
