The Lumberjack Heritage Festivals has a huge impact on the region. The event draws thousands of people from across the province to Kapuskasing. This year will mark the 17th annual Lumberjack Festival. Current chair of the festival Denis Berube says the event not only provides an economic boost but also a social impact to the region.
The event features live entertainment, delicious food, and of course lumberjack competitions. The opening ceremonies begin Friday July 22nd at 5 pm at Riverside Park.
