Forest Fire Situation in Northern Ontario Continues to Improve

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry have reported nine active fires in the region. Firefighting crews have been busy as several weeks ago that number was doubled.

The MNRF is warning boaters to beware of water bombers. As the water bombers approach lakes people in water crafts are being asked to move close to the shore so they can perform their scoop. From April 1st to October 31st waterways are used by CL-415 water bombers to suppress wildfires.
