Laws Changing Regarding Alcohol in Ontario

Alcohol regulations across the province are changing. Ontario manufactures will now be able to sell product at each of their manufacturing sites. Previously only wineries producing more than 10 million liters of wine were able to do so.  If you’re dining at a winery you will now be able to purchase a bottle from the retail store and have it added to the bill.  Spokesperson for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario Ray Kahnert says these new regulations will make life less burdensome for small operators getting established in the business.

Users of brew-your-own stores will now be able to designate someone else to take over their brewing activities such as a friend or family member. Wine or beer making relatives will also be able to serve beverages at a wider array of family events including anniversaries rather than just weddings or religious ceremonies as long as they have a permit.
