The Kirkland Lake Crime Unit has charged six people in connection to a drug bust. As a result of the investigation quantities of methadone, opiates and prescription medication were seized. Six individuals ranging from 18 to 49 years old have been charged with trafficking and are currently being held for a bail hearing. Detective Sargent Matt Watson of the OPP criminal investigation branch led the investigation into the illegal drug activity in Kirkland Lake.
