LHIN Working to Improve Access to Nurses and Doctors in the North East

The North East Local Health Integration Network has proposed smaller primary care groups so residents have more access to healthcare facilities. LHIN Officer Jennifer MacKinnon says they talked about ways to put patients first to help forge stronger links between primary and home care. The creation of smaller primary care planning groups will help ensure residents can access nurse practitioners or family physicians in the area.
