Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson is shedding more light on the topics of discussion proposed by northern MPPs calling for a meeting with Ontario’s new Energy Minister.
Bisson says regulation works for other commodities across the province and across Canada.
He says solutions to the northern burdens of higher energy prices and much higher gas prices will have to come from collaboration.
Bisson says Glenn Thibeault is a northerner and he understands the unique challenges the region faces, which is a major asset.
The MPPs are hoping to appeal to Thibeault’s time as a federal member where he was outspoken on the cost of energy.
