The north is being encouraged to help support Blood Donor Week.
The international event aims to raise awareness on the importance of blood donors, and to boost donor numbers.
Territory Manager for Canadian Blood Services, Joanne Drake, says traditionally they struggle to get high donor numbers in Timmins.
The next blood drive in Timmins is on June 21st and 22nd, at the usual location of St. Dominiques Church Hall.
Donations can be made online at blood dot ca, by phone at 1-888-2-DONATE, or by just walking in.
