Carol Hughes, along with other members of parliament came together this week to recognize cadet programs.
The Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP, whose daughter was a Sea Cadet, says the value of the programs can’t be understated.
She says cadet training helps to build skillsets which members will take with them throughout their lives, contributing to building communities.
There are currently active cadet programs in Hearst, Manitoulin Island, Elliot Lake, Blind River and Espanola within her riding.
The Kapuskasing Army Cadets just wrapped up its annual review and honoured the 76th year of its operation.
