In an effort to become more transparent and to show the work the OPP does in the community, it has released its enforcement numbers for the month of May.
The James Bay detachments in Smooth Rock Falls, Cochrane, Kapuskasing, Hearst and Moosonee put in over 650 hours in traffic enforcement and safety.
According to the OPP in the region, it responded to over 1,200 calls for services in criminal code violations, provincial offenses, violent crimes, property crimes and drug reports.
