The Disability Tax Specialists will be in Kapuskasing this weekend and appointments are filling up fast.
One of the organizers for the meetings, Cody Medeles , says based on last year’s turnout, residents should call as soon as possible to get an appointment.
Medeles says if you or a family member has any mental or physical disabilities you could be eligible to receive up to $40,000 from the government.
He says many eligible go without funding simply from a lack of visibility for the government bursaries and grants which are available to the public.
Medeles says it’s not just physical disabilities; it’s mental ones such as ADD, ADHD or bi-polar disorder which can make you eligible.
They will be at the Super 8 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on June 4th.
