The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is awarding Goldcorp with a Resource Champion award.
The mining company was nominated by the Timmins Chamber for the national award, which looks for organizations that support reducing negative environmental impacts of resource extraction.
Timmins Chamber President Kurt Bigeau says the company has worked hard to invest in the long-term health of our economy.
In addition to that, Tembec’s Chief Forester Al Thorne was also awarded in the individual category of the Resource Champion awards.
