Police Advocating Motor Cycle Safety Over Summer Months

The OPP in northern Ontario is asking drivers to be cautious on our highways and roads are warmer weather is bringing more motor cycles onto them.

Over the long weekend the OPP says there were nine deaths in total on its patrolled highways.

Most crashes can be prevented; the OPP says something as simple as leaving enough space between you and a motor cycle and paying close attention to signalling or changing lanes can help prevent them.

The OPP says alcohol, drugs and especially aggressive driving remain the number one causes of death or serious injury on the roads.
