Timmins-James Bay is getting an additional 53-thousand dollars to hire students this summer.
The money is coming from Service Canada, and is on top of the 600-thousand already allocated for the area.
MP Charlie Angus says this will open up more than 220 jobs for students, which is a record for the riding.
The money will go to various groups, like St. John’s Ambulance, the Seizure and Brain Injury Centre, and the Englehart Family Health Team.
