Town Looking for Public Feedback on Master Fire Plan

The public meeting date for the town’s Master Fire Plan is set for May 30th and Kapuskasing’s town council is hoping for a solid turnout.

The Master Fire Plan affects emergency services and possibly taxes, two big reasons the town’s CAO Yves Labelle says he’s hoping the public will attend.

The plan, among other components, takes into account three lines of defense: public education, emergency response along with standards and enforcement.

Kapuskasing’s Mayor Al Spacek says the plan is an important component to modernizing one of the only full-time firefighting hubs in the region.
