The MNRF is asking any anglers who come across buoys for fisheries while they’re out boating or fishing to keep their distance.
It’s all part of the 67 lakes being extensively surveyed by fisheries crews this summer.
The crews will be surveying fish abundance, water temperature and quality and looking out for invasive species.
The MNRF that extra information will be used in the future to determine seasons and size limits for anglers.
