NewsMcHappy Day Event Sees Big Turnout SHARE ON: Gregory Rosser, contributor, Friday, May. 6th, 2016Nearly $4,000 has been raised by local McDonald’s locations in the area.It’s all part of McHappy Day where every dollar from a big mac, hot beverage and happy meal went to the Ronald McDonald House Foundation.Volunteers worked in the kitchens and with staff over the day-long event to pitch in.The Kapuskasing locations raised $2660 along with Hearst bringing in $1220.The RMHC provides accommodations to families whose children are seeking medical care and treatment.It has 14 houses and 13 hospital rooms across Canada.
