FONOM, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and provincial leaders will be congregating in Timmins for the Northeastern Municipal Conference.
It runs from Wednesday to Friday and will be covering topics like housing, homelessness, the forestry economy, municipal finance as waste concerns.
Former Ontario Premier Bob Rae will be delivering the keynote address on Wednesday at 1:30pm with current Premier Kathleen Wynne also speaking the next day.
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities is also welcoming NDP leader Andrea Horwath and PC leader Patrick Brown.
The Minister’s forum will wrap up the event; FONOM says the list of ministers in attendance is still being confirmed.
