Canadian Blood Services is putting out a call to possible blood donors as it’s in desperate need of blood.
CBS says type O blood donors are among the most in-demand as those individuals with it are universal donors.
In this year alone 100,000 new donors will be needed and over 10,000 of those will need to be O negative.
The next blood drive in the area will be in Timmins on May 31st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on June 1st from noon to 7:30pm at St. Dominique’s Hall.
