Teams from the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Big Bike rally will be hitting the streets this week and next to raise money and awareness.
Proceeds from pledges will be going to research in the field.
The bike rally will be in Timmins May 4th and 5th, Smooth Rock Falls on May 6th and Kapuskasing on May 9th.
Area Coordinator for Timmins and Area Linda Horn says while the pledges help, last minute entries shouldn’t be discouraged as raising awareness is just as big of a priority.
The last big bike rally came to the area in 2014 and teams from northern communities have been going door to door looking for pledges.
