Two Timmins Women Sending Care Packages to Attawapiskat

Two women from Timmins are doing their part to help support Attawapiskat.

Natalie Cloutier and her mom, Carole Yelle, are collecting items for youth in the remote First Nations community, to help with monthly expenses and self-esteem.

Cloutier says they are sending up everything from sports equipment, to books, to art supplies.

She says the idea for the initiative was born out of the suicide epidemic at the fly-in community.

Air Creebec has agreed to ship up all of their supplies once they are all ready to go.

Cloutier says they are accepting donations, or cash which they will use to buy more items from the dollar store.
