Angus Praising Cadet Program for Service in Attawapiskat

Charlie Angus is commending the Junior Rangers for the work they are doing for Attawapiskat youth.

The Timmins-James Bay MP was in the remote First Nation community when he noticed a number of youth leaders were wearing the sweatshirt and insignia of the rangers.

He says they play an extraordinary role in training, leadership, and safety.

He also says it’s part of a bigger cadet system across the north.

That includes the Major McCarthy air cadets in Iroquois Falls, and the Navy League in Timmins. Angus says the grass roots nature of the program is the secret to its success.
