The town of Kapuskasing is looking to improve its fire fighting capabilities through a Master Fire Plan.
Dillon Consulting has spent the better part of nearly two years developing the plan, examining data since 2004.
The plan, among other components, takes into account three lines of defense: public education, emergency response along with standards and enforcement.
Kapuskasing’s Mayor Al Spacek says the plan is an important component to modernizing one of the only full-time fire fighting hubs in the region.
The town is looking for the public’s feedback on the plan which will be published online this week.
