The investigation into the June 2015 mining death of 52-year-old Denis Millette of Matheson has resulted in charges for Detour Gold Corporation.
The mining company is being charged with criminal negligence causing death.
Police say Millette was making repairs at the mining operation near Cochrane, when on-site medical staff tended to him after he was in distress.
Police say the cause of death was found to be acute cyanide intoxication.
The first appearance in court is set for May 10th in Cochrane.
