Northern Health Unit Warns of Costco Produce Recall

The Sudbury and District Health Unit is putting out a warning about Hepatitis A, a virus that affects the liver.

Ten People in Ontario have developed the virus after eating frozen berries they bought from Costco.

While the closest Costco location is in Sudbury, the company does ship to members across northern Ontario including in the Cochrane district.

The brand, which has since been recalled, is Nature’s Touch Organic Berry Cherry Blend.

The health unit says there are no reports of people in the region coming down with Hepatitis A.

However, if the advisory applies to you and you are concerned you can contact the Porcupine Health Unit for vaccinations.
